A paper presented by Professor Chris Johnson of Glasgow University has been given a best paper award at the 2014 conference of the International Systems Safety Society  in St Louis, Missouri, USA in 4th-8th August.

The paper  title: Practical Insights for the Exchange of Leading Practices, Lessons Learned in Accident Investigation and Lessons Learned from Incident Investigations: is based on an ERA study, that Professor Johnson carried out with the co-authors of the paper, ERA project officers: Susan Reinartz and Michael Rebentisch of the Safety Unit, on sharing good practice in investigation methods between the National Investigation Bodies. The results of the study have been presented to the NIB in a workshop in November 2012.
